Community Garden - Albion Park

Albion Park Community Garden
Working bee participants 2012

This place is amazing! Do you want to garden? Do you want to meet other people with the same interest? Do you not have anywhere to have a garden? Do you live in or around Albion Park?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the place for you.

IN THE BEGINNING...

Albion Park Community Garden is a place for wonderful, everyday people like you and me. We are passionate gardeners with a desire to learn as we garden.

It's a lovely atmosphere to meet with other people who enjoy getting outside, getting their hands in the earth, producing fresh and delicious produce while learning and participating in our project “growing together”.
Each week we harvest and share produce from the garden and also enjoy a seed swap and morning tea.  All are welcome.
  • Meet each Tuesday morning between 9am to 11.30am
Where: Albion Park Community Centre, Russell Street, Albion Park
Contact: see website for more detail: www.meetup.com/Albion-Park-Community-Garden
Or call Ainslie Sackey (Volunteer) 0433 638704 or Chris Jensen (Centre Manager): 02 42573342

AND NOW......FULL ON BLOOMING...

Corn is going well

Every space winding around the paths is used to grow something

The Truck Rim gardens are doing well

I just love our little Frog Pond.....
If you have your own garden;
I encourage you to add a space for frogs....
if the environment is right, they will come.

There is edible colour throughout the garden.
Projects on the go.
Ross installing some water sprinkler systems that are connected to the rain water tank.

More paths on the sloping hillside

This little truck gets moved around with each visit.
Do you like our pottery plant labels that we made?
Our star gardens that Ross made.

The  squash are blooming
The golden pumpkin are nearly ready to harvest
And this is what it really is all about.......don't you just love it!

I just love visiting the Albion Park Community Garden on Tuesday mornings.
